From a positive start, to a negative finish.

Hello again to all of you! Scout here again with some very sad news. As of today, Tom Robinson was found guilty for the rape and assault of Mayella Ewell. After all of the evidence that was shown as to why Tom Robinson should be proven to be innocent, not one single person on the jury thought that he was. I bet you that most of them did believe that he was innocent it’s just that none of them had the courage to stand up for what they believe in. All because of what they thought the people of Maycomb would think if they voted innocent for a black man up for such a charge. I just don’t understand why they couldn’t just speak their mind, even if it meant going against what everyone else thought. Was it really worth sending an innocent man to jail? Well I don’t think it was and I think that things need to change around here to make sure that incidents like these don’t ever go wrong again. Even if it means proving that a black person may be found innocent for a crime that a white person committed.  This should have been done in this case in which I believe that Mr. Robert Ewell should have been found guilty for the offenses that they blamed on Tom Robinson. All of the evidence pointed to him but still no one wanted to convict a white man for such charges. So Atticus is going to go for an appeal, and we hope that everything will turn out fine after that happens. Hopefully we can knock some sense into people! So I guess this will be my last blog for a little while, I hope all of you have enjoyed reading these. Thank you for reading!
